The Exercise Technology & Cognition (ETC) Laboratory is housed within the Health and Kinesiology Department in the College of Applied Health Sciences at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
The ETC Lab aims to…
- Identify factors that contribute to exercise self-regulation across the life-span
- Test innovative, technology-driven interventions designed to enhance exercise adherence & cognitive functioning
- Explore adjuvant therapies to be used with exercise to improve exercise, cardiovascular and cognitive outcomes
Our research is currently funded by University of Illinois’ Campus Research Board and further supported by a new initiative called Illinois Computes.
Dr. Mullen has been previously funded by the National Institute on Aging (NIA), National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), the University of Illinois’ Center for Social and Behavioral Sciences (CSBS), the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and Center on Health, Aging, and Disability (CHAD).
